I had my first experience with a friend in their Sea Eagle inflatable kayak several Summers back (’14) down a very busy river in the peak of a Summer wknd. All the other kayakers were complaining during and after their 4+ hour journey of their butts and backs hurting. My fellow kayaker and I tried to remain silent and not rub it in. Upon completion, all the others were getting out walking stiffly as if they’d been riding horses – my friend and I – zilch discomfort at all.

That’s when I was sold! My wife and I purchased our own 420X in the Fall of ’14 and when we had the option for seats, we didn’t go with the Tall Back seats (conventional kayak seats), but these Deluxe (inflatable) Kayak Seats – they have been amazing now for my wife and I and anyone we’ve loaned it out to. No one can believe how comfortable they are after short or long trips. (Note: one lesson we’ve learned is to not fill the bottom/seat chamber full – it’s too firm, so we let little out until just right; the back remains full/firm for excellent lumbar support.)

My wife and I would fully recommend these deluxe kayak seats to anyone considering kayaking, especially as they fit in the Sea Eagle line.
